'Slic3r 3D printing software by 3DTOPO is being used in my organization to produce a wide array of prototypes, from small objects to complex parts. Unfortunately, it has not been the most reliable app, with many issues that are difficult to resolve. The software 's simple user-interface presented when purchased proved to be very deceiving. The software itself is quite expensive and it is clear that all that money went towards making it seemingly look good rather than a working product. The customer service is abysmal, with no response to multiple emails sent in and no help available at all. The fact that it offers features that are notoriously difficult to learn and no user-friendly support makes it a complete waste of money. The biggest issue lies in the software not being reliable and unstable. It crashes constantly, can become unresponsive and has many bugs that cannot be resolved with basic troubleshooting. This makes it very hard to trust and use, and makes the time invested in it a complete waste of time. Its lack in reliability and poor customer service makes it a complete and utter disappointment. The fact that it does not work reliably and doesn't offer a resolution to all its reported issues makes this software an outright betrayal of our trust. I do not think it is worth the money we invested in it. My rating for slic3r 3D printing software would be 1 out of 5. It is unreliable, difficult to learn and the customer service is non-existent. It is not worth the price paid, and I would not recommend anyone to invest in it.'

'1. Cost of ownership - 5/5 The cost of ownership for Slic3r is excellent. It is open source, which means you already have access to it for free. This means that there is no need to invest in expensive software. We have been using Slic3r for a while at our company now and have particularly appreciated its great support. If ever we have an issue with Slic3r's features, there are step-by-step guides and tutorials, as well as an active user base which is willing to help. 2. Ease of use - 4/5 Slic3r for 3D printing is very easy to use. I was particularly surprised at how quickly our engineers were able to get up to speed with the program. Everything from slicing the model to adjusting settings was quite user-friendly. What I didn't like was that there are some quirks to the slicing process that require a bit of trial and error. Also, some of the advanced settings can be a bit tricky to figure out, resulting in some frustration for our engineers.'
