That being said, I do think that there are some areas that must be improved on. Even when all of the settings are optimized, there’s still a considerable amount of time required to fully render an image. In addition, the cost of the license is a bit steep in comparison to the competition.

As for the customer service, I can't say I'm overly impressed. While the staff is polite and friendly and the response times are fairly quick. I find myself running into the same technical difficulties time and time again - some of which should have been addressed with the most recent software update. It's quite disappointing to say the least.
Not to mention, information on the website concerning the software is quite difficult to find, making it even harder to figure out the solutions to problems. I often find myself struggling to try and calculate the cost and needed licenses for our employees.
To rate their customer service, I'd give them a 6/10. They try their best and the staff is generally courteous, however, technical difficulties and site navigation issues can be detrimental to user experience.'

For those just starting out, it’s also possible to buy a basic package and then upgrade as needed, with no need for a large upfront cost. This can be a great money-saving option for those on a budget.

In spite of the cost savings, Blender still provides a host of highly useful interoperability and integration options. I have used the software to pull 3D objects into Unity, insert them into an Unreal Engine scene, and also to read files from other software and render them using Blender. For example, I recently used OpenVDB to render particles on a scene originally created in Maya, and was able to tweak on Houdini before bringing them back into Blender for a final render. I find this really useful as it allows me to work with my data across a number of visual effects tools.'

I'm an industry veteran who has used a number of 3D rendering software offerings throughout my decades as an artist. Of all the options out there, Blender's 3D rendering software is one that strikes a great balance between cost and capability. The cost of entry is very low and even though any serious professional will likely end up paying more for add-ons, the cost is still very attractive compared to the competition. For example, having an educational license costs just 60 euro—an absolute bargain compared to other professional-grade software. The only downside to the cost of ownership is that the add-ons can add up in cost.
Interoperability & Integration (5/5 stars)
I have also found Blender to be a great tool for integration and interoperability. I have used the software to model objects and put them into an existing scene on Unreal Engine, as well as to bring objects back from Unity and Maya into Blender to work on them natively. The range of compatibility across different software is great. What's more, the plugin ecosystem provides more options for interoperability with external applications. One example I recently used was OpenVDB for particle animation. I was able to take my particles into Houdini for a few more tweaks and then bring them back into Blender for rendering. The streamlined interoperability is great for my workflow.'
