We had a vision to deploy a unified platform that could seamlessly move data between disparate internal and external systems, and Actian provided exactly what we asked for. With the product vision presentation delivered to us, we were extremely pleased at how the products integrated multiple data sources to gain insights on our customers changing aspirations. The product features were robust and clearly communicated the technological improvements that come with leveraging Actians integrations. Further, the Actian team provided us outstanding customer service when we had any questions or required assistance, answering our queries extremely promptly. We found the cost of ownership to be reasonable and appreciated the quantity of features and resources within their pricing plans. The interoperability and integration of data sources was also outstanding, allowing us to create a unified platform that enabled us to gain a detailed view of customer behavior. Actian Corporation is a private company which sells its software and solutions to the US and Europe. The company sells its products to numerous verticals, which include financial services, healthcare, and oil and gas. The company, in order to gain a competitive edge in the market, is adopting inorganic strategies. Actian Corporation acquired Pervasive Software in 2003 and added a lot of technical capabilities into its data integration software. The acquisition helped the company gain the unprecedented advantage of providing highly scalable, elastic, and performant products. Similarly, in the same year, the company also acquired ParAccel, which enabled Actian to provide data federation/virtualization capabilities to its data integration software. ParAccel’s elite customer list included Amazon, Royal Bank of Scotland, OfficeMax, and MicroStrategy. ParAccel customers gained access to a broader portfolio of products and solutions, after it got acquired by Actian Corporation. The company has also actively partnered with other technological giants in the data integration market to improve its product portfolio as well as reach out to specific regions, such as Japan.
