Denodo Presence in Data Integration Software
Denodo is one of the leading players providing data virtualization for high-performance data integration and data abstraction across disparate data sources. The company has been committed to the fast data strategy, which includes agile, real-time, and self-service data technologies, such as data virtualization. In this pursuit, the company released the latest version of its data virtualization platform, Denodo Platform 6.0, in March 2016. The updated version delivers enhanced capabilities, such as optimization techniques for big data; special support for and connectivity to the big data sources; and an intuitive web-based user interface with search capabilities for both data and metadata. The company has adopted both inorganic and organic growth strategies to boost its integration product portfolio and expand its customer base. It has also partnered with leading IT players, such as HPE, Infosys, and MicroStrategy. The partnership with HPE in October 2016 involved integration of HPE Vertica with the Denodo Platform. This enabled customers to integrate HPE Vertica with the Denodo Platform, as a data source or a high-performance cache, with maximum interoperability and performance. This also expanded its geographical reach by entering into a reseller agreement with Affecto Norway. The latter would resell the Denodo Data Virtualization Platform as part of its business solutions and provide consulting and implementation services to customers in Northern Europe.
