Summary

Data Fabric solution from Talend comprises data quality, MDM, metadata manager, and application integration solution. It can be deployed on cloud, on-premises, or in hybrid environments. It allows developers to deploy the same integration tools to address a wide variety of integration challenges in big data, cloud, IoT, and traditional data sources.

Talend Data Integration enables users to integrate, transform, and blend data from various data sources, such as big data, on-cloud, IoT, and traditional data sources. It comprises more than 1000 connectors to databases, flat files, and cloud-based applications. It includes optional data quality features in order to profile, cleanse, anonymize, and mask data. These features enable data de-duplication, validation, standardization, and enrichment, which facilitates high quality, clean and reliable data for access, and reporting and analytics. The product can also be sold and deployed as a standalone product.

Big Data Integration solution provides same functionalities complimented by support for big data projects, such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, NoSQL databases, and other big data systems. It allows real-time data integration on a large scale.

Talend Integration Cloud is another data integration solution, bundled as an Integration PaaS in the data fabric platform. It enables users to run and manage Talend Data Fabric products on the cloud or in hybrid scenarios that combine both cloud and on-premises systems.

Talend Cloud Data Integration Presence in Data Integration Software
Talend is a global player having a significant industry reach for its data integration product portfolio. With a unique product strategy comprising an open source data integration solution, the company focuses on creating an adoption trend than generating leads for its commercial product offerings through existing open source solution customers. The company extensively leverages from its inorganic growth strategy, which includes partnerships, collaborations, and distributor agreements, thereby expanding the geographical and industry reach of the company. In this pursuit, recently, Talend partnered with T-Systems in IaaS in October 2016. T-Systems, a German subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, is using Talend Big Data Integration software to streamline the collection and cleansing of data from a broad range of sources as part of T-Systems’ Big Data platform services. Another inorganic development observed is the distributor agreement of Talend with Ingram Micro Inc. in September 2016. This agreement placed the latter as its first authorized distributor in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong. Ingram Micro would distribute Talend solutions, including Talend Data Fabric, Talend Integration Cloud, and Big Data and MDM, to an extensive network of thousands of channel partners and resellers in this region. Looking at the organic growth strategy, which includes new product launches and product developments, the company has made considerable progress in 2015. In June 2015, Talend integrated its Talend Platform 5.6 and Talend Integration Cloud with Amazon Aurora, the MySQL-compatible RDBMS from AWS. Talend allows customers to take advantage of AWS’ latest database engine that blends the speed and efficiencies of high-end commercial databases with simplicity and cost benefits of open source databases. Again, in March 2015, Talend saw a new addition to its data integration portfolio with the launch of Talend Integration Cloud, a hosted cloud integration platform, which extends and advances data-driven enterprises. It provides instant, elastic, and secure capacity, so that IT teams can easily shift workloads between on-premises and on cloud, increasing agility, performance, and productivity while lowering operational costs.
