EMC is mainly focused in keeping the foundation of its key business units—software and cloud, hardware, big data, and services, strong and updated and tap all the markets by expanding its business. It is focused on adopting organic as well as inorganic growth strategies. In line with its organic growth strategy, EMC has adopted product development and upgradation strategy to adapt to the fast changing technology in order to strengthen its market position. The company is spending extensively in its R&D, which was 12.8% of its total revenue in 2015, to ensure rapid growth of its technology domain and deliver updated solutions to the customers. In accordance with its inorganic growth strategy, the company aims to expand its customer base and increase the market reach in terms of product offerings and geographical expansions.
