Summary

Organizations can also simplify their IT environment by removing the burden of maintaining separate legacy systems and analytics software, which can be incorporated into a single platform. The company also provides consulting and training services which help the customers understand the methodologies to implement in-memory analytics and assist in overcoming the obstacles associated with it. SAP HANA also combines the processing power of the in-memory platform with Hadoop's ability to store and process huge amounts of data. By combining enterprise data with Hadoop data, using SAP’s in-memory processing engine, organizations can quickly and interactively drill into data for deeper insights.

SAP SE Presence in In-Memory Analytics Software
The company launched SAP HANA 2 in November 2016, which provides a plethora of features that allow organizations to use the platform’s in-memory capabilities to reduce costs and overheads. By providing the in-memory functionality not only in SAP HANA’s database but also Spark-based SAP HANA Vora, SAP can attract large IaaS providers who offer machines capable of running very large applications using in-memory only. In September 2016, SAP and Samsung Electronics jointly opened a research center for engineers to conduct R&D on solutions for in-memory computing which shows that SAP, along with an organic growth strategy, also focusses on innovation. The company invested USD 3.37 billion on R&D in 2016 to improve and increase its product offerings. The company generated 31% of its EMEA region’s revenue from Germany. Revenue in Americas was generated primarily from Mexico, Brazil, and Canada. Cloud and software segment generated 82% of the total revenue in the Americas region in 2016. This shows that SAP has its hold in all the major markets which can help improve and increase revenue.
