SAP SE Presence in Industrial Analytics Software
SAP SE has a direct or an indirect presence in more than 180 countries through a group of 255 subsidiaries who distribute SAP products, solutions, and services. The company invests heavily in R&D. In 2016, SAP invested about 15% of its annual revenue in R&D activities. Furthermore, acquisitions, collaborations, and partnerships are the key inorganic strategies adopted by the company to expand its product portfolio and geographical presence. In June 2017, the company collaborated with Accenture to provide digital solutions to customers. The solutions are based on the SAP Leonardo digital innovation system. Additionally, the company acquired Fedem to strengthen its cloud-based solution, which helps in monitoring physical installations in the real time. The acquisition would help SAP users acquire more customers and effectively retain them. As a part of its organic strategy, the company has added new products to the SAP BusinessObjects analytics applications family.
