SAS INSTITUTE INC Presence in Industrial Analytics Software
SAS is a prominent player in offering its industrial analytics solutions to various industry verticals, which include manufacturing, automotive, and transportation. The company has expanded its geographical reach across the world, and has earned profits mostly from the Americas. SAS has adopted both organic as well as inorganic strategies. As a part of its organic strategy, SAS has updated and introduced new products, thus expanding its geographical reach across the world. For instance, in April 2017, it introduced Edge-to- Enterprise IoT Analytics Platform, in collaboration with Cisco Systems, Inc., to help businesses with the application of analytic software at different layers of a network. In addition, it has expanded its business in Ireland by opening new offices in La Touche House in Dublin’s IFSC. The new office supports sales of data analytics software in markets across EMEA, and acts as a hub for the region. SAS has also adopted significant inorganic strategies. For instance, In April 2017, SAS partnered with Cisco Systems, Inc., to develop and sell Edge-to-Enterprise IoT Analytics platform to their customers. Similarly, in August 2016, SAS partnered with Aimia Inc. This partnership would enable Aimia to provide advanced data analytics and modeling operations to its customers in Canada, and help SAS increase its clientele.
