HPE Vertica Analytics Platform in IoT Analytics

HPE has a strong presence in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC, through a wide network of VARs and distributors. The company mainly caters to healthcare and life sciences, government, BFSI, telecommunications and IT, education, retail, and gaming verticals. Sales, marketing, and distribution of HPE’s products are fulfilled directly by the company or indirectly through a variety of partners such as resellers who sell HPE’s products and services with its own value-added products or services, distribution partners who sell HPE’s solutions to resellers, OEMs, or system integrators. Hewlett Packard Labs, together with various research and development groups within its business segments, are responsible for the company’s R&D efforts to come up with innovative solutions. The company adopts both organic and inorganic growth strategies to expand its customer base. For instance, the February 2017 launch of IoT platform enabled HPE to add solutions to its portfolio which secures sensitive information generated through IoT devices. The acquisition of Niara in February 2017 helped HPE make use of Niara’s User and Entity Behaviour Analytics (UEBA) to secure its clients’ sensitive information from cyber-attacks.
