The software has strong interoperability, allowing us to integrate disparate systems into one seamless system. This has enabled our procurement department to use one consistent platform for all our logistics needs. The DLGP has a powerful suite of tools for mapping and tracking. All our partners can conveniently access the platform, making it easier to monitor each others progress. This integrated system has improved our turnaround times significantly. Moreover, the DLGP has solid expertise and data-sharing capabilities. This simplifies cross-functional communication between departments as well as with external contractors. This allows us to run our transport operations more efficiently. From a cost perspective, the DLGP is rather expensive. However, because of the strong interoperability, we have been able to reduce manual labor costs and time-saving benefits greatly. Overall, the Descartes Global Logistics Platform has made it easier for us to manage our transportation operations. The high interoperability and integration have improved our process flow and have been highly beneficial. We rate the platform 9/10 due to its excellent integrations and interoperability across the entire supply chain.

Its been a good experience overall, and weve been able to leverage it for many of our operations. The primary benefit that I see in the software is its futuristic capabilities its a breeze for us to integrate the software with IoT-enabled tracking devices and our existing automation systems, giving us an edge in the transport and logistics industry. This can be attributed to its extensive library of APIs, which are incredibly adaptable and up-to-date. Aesthetics-wise, the user experience of the software is also quite impressive. It has an intuitive user interface that becomes second nature to use, and its drag-and-drop maps make navigation a breeze. Weve had no difficulty training our staff to use the platform and it performs well on any device. Given the amount of value Descartes Global Logistics Platform provides to us as an organization, I would say it is definitely worth its price. My procurement team promised that the software would drastically reduce the time it took to plan transport routes and assign bookings around the world. However, after purchase, we are yet to find out just how much of an improvement it actually is. The user interface is quite clunky, which makes it quite difficult to use. To make matters worse, the customer service is abysmal. Though they provide free training with the purchase, the training seems inadequate and there is no tech support to speak of. Ive been waiting for weeks for them to respond to my inquiries and havent heard back yet. Recently I purchased Descartes Global Logistics Platform from DESCARTES SYSTEMS GROUP INC. The software was advertised as a tool to speed up the process of creating transport routes and booking transport assignments, however, it hasnt quite lived up to the promises. The user interface is clunky and difficult to use, which makes it quite time-consuming to set up. Even worse is the customer service that is offered. Despite the fact that it comes with free training, it didnt seem to be very helpful. And Ive been trying to get tech support for weeks now but have not heard back yet. Overally, I wouldnt recommend this software to anyone due to its poor performance and customer service. I rate it a 2/10.

The user personas that their software addressed were Cloud-based (for data storage and retrieval), Responsiveness (users ability to respond to conditions quickly) and Transparency (for data accuracy and clarity). I found that the software was able to allow for quick data retrieval and storage, which was incredibly useful for me. The responsiveness of the software was great and allowed me to respond quickly to changes in the environment, which is always beneficial for a business. Finally, the software was also great for data accuracy and clarity, which allowed me to make informed decisions quicker.

Process Weaver focused on acquisitions to widen its product offerings, having led four acquisitions from 2013 to 2015. The acquisitions enabled the company to address the demand for integrated routing and mobile fleet management solutions and strengthen its position in the freight forwarding market.
