'As the R&D head of a large organization in the audio editing industry, I can definitely say that Audacity's audio software is one of the best options for industry professionals and recreational users alike. They have provided a great user-experience with their software, and the product vision is one that I trust.
The wide range of features that Audacity provides is truly impressive. We utilized their time stretching capabilities for drum tracks and their noise reduction tools to clean up some of the more troublesome recordings. I am almost certain that we would not have been able to complete our project without the help of these features.
The third party plug-in support that Audacity offers is also great, however, I do think it could use some work. Integrating the plug-ins into the UI/UX could be improved to make it easier for users, especially those who are relying on the software for professional use. As it stands there are some areas that could use improvement such as the mobile version of the software being slightly behind the desktop version in terms of features.
Taking all of this into consideration I still believe that Audacity's audio software is an excellent choice. It is an incredibly powerful solution and fully supports both professional and recreational use cases. I wholeheartedly recommend Audacity’s audio software and give it a 4.5/5 rating.'

Even though Audacity is quite an amazing software, there are some parts of the software which can be improved. For starters, the user manual is quite poorly documented and the help and support response can be improved. Even if there are enough tutorials available, basic features such as Noise Reduction and Equalization lack the details that a novice user may need. Another downside is the software's instability on certain operating systems, especially for Mac users. One of the members of my team who uses the Mac OS reported several popping/clicking sounds when playing multiple tracks at once. Thus, these cons deserve a rating of 3.5/5.'
