Oracle has extended its product offerings and intellectual property through acquisition of businesses and technologies. In 2017, the company invested 16% of its revenue in R&D to enhance its existing portfolio of products and offerings, and to develop new technologies and services. Oracle caters to a diverse set of industry verticals, such as aerospace and defense, automotive, FSM and construction, financial services, healthcare, industrial manufacturing, oil and gas, public sector, travel and transportation, and utilities. The company has a strong market in more than 147 countries with a regional presence in the Americas, EMEA, and APJ. Oracle focuses on both organic as well inorganic growth strategies. The company firmly adheres to the business strategy of maintaining strong relationships with its partners by forming strategic alliances and entering into partnerships. In July 2016, Oracle announced its partnership with Eyeota to strengthen its customer experience. As per the partnership, Eyeota data would be integrated into the Oracle Data Management platform through the Oracle Data Cloud. With this new integration, customers would be able to increase the speed to market by selecting, purchasing, and managing Eyeota data from within the Oracle platform.
