TIERPOINT in Disaster Recovery as a Service

TierPoint has a huge customer base in the US, with 39 data centers located across the country. The company offers its uniquely-designed, custom-tailored services to businesses in various verticals, such as energy, education, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, public sector, retail, and technology. In January 2017, the company announced the expansion of its data center in Nashville, which is the only Tier-3 certified data center in the region. The expansion allowed the company to reach out to its existing customers more efficiently and also to increase its customer base in the region. TierPoint will be able to serve its customers with further expansion and backup capabilities, along with existing services, including the cloud, colocation, and managed services. In January 2016, TierPoint acquired Cosentry, a provider of cloud, colocation, and managed services. With this acquisition, TierPoint is now operating in more than 39 data centers in 20 domains, serving more than 4,500 customers. In February 2016, TierPoint announced the completion of its largest commercial data center in Oklahoma City to meet the growing demand for enterprise-class IT solutions, including cloud, colocation, and managed services. For enhanced and better connectivity and redundancy, the new data center is connected to TierPoint’s original DC 1 data center on campus. In July 2016, TierPoint announced the availability of managed Microsoft Azure services across the US. This development provides TierPoint managed services on Microsoft's Azure public cloud, including design, implementation, migration, and optimization. TierPoint’s customers are benefitted with greater flexibility in addressing their IT infrastructure requirements by leveraging managed services through the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
