IBM expands assertively in the field of analytics to cater to the diverse needs of organizations spread across various business applications and industries. The company has adopted various growth strategies, including new product launches, agreements, and partnerships to strengthen its market position. In June 2017, IBM launched the first suite of cognitive solutions to help financial institution professionals manage their regulatory and fiduciary responsibilities. Similarly, in February 2016, IBM launched three new cognitive APIs to enhance Watson’s visual and emotional capabilities. These newly launched APIs are Tone Analyzer, Emotion Analysis, and Visual Recognition. The company has shown significant R&D investments to develop new products and improve existing ones.
