Information Builders offers a unique combination of a BI and enterprise integration software suite, enabling enterprises to have better understanding of business developments and insights. The company has adopted both organic and inorganic strategies to enhance its market position. In line with the industry trend, the company added embedded BI and analytics capabilities to its platform in October 2016 and made efforts to enhance the user experience with visualization, real-time analytics, and interactive reporting. Adding to its existing portfolio, Information Builders introduced new offerings in June 2017, enhancing its BI and analytics platform, which includes InfoSearch, prescriptive analytics, Omni Data Quality Workbench, and Usage Monitor. The company also extended its product range to the cloud. Earlier, in February 2016, Information Builders extended its WebFOCUS platform and released WebFOCUS BI and analytics platform in three different editions – Business User, Application, and Enterprise – to expand its user base to different user categories. The editions are designed to address the different needs of clients and help them deliver reporting and analytics capabilities to their customers. Another instance of organic strategy implementation was the launching of WebFOCUS Express, enterprise-class BI and analytics for small enterprises. Information Builders’ WebFOCUS Express enables SMEs to transform data into knowledgeable content without the need of IT support. Under inorganic strategies, Information Builders collaborated with Avnet Technology Solutions through the Analytics Accelerator program in February 2107. This partnership enabled Avnet to resell Information Builders’ entire WebFOCUS BI and analytics portfolio.
