USP : The SAP S/4 Embedded Analytics does not require separate installation or the implementation of any other license. As a
part of the S/4HANA software, SAP S/4 Embedded Analytics is generally available with the new SAP
S/4HANA releases. It combines transactions and analytics on a single in-memory platform. With SAP
S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, SAP supports stand-alone and built-in analytics, simplifies IT deployment
efforts, and reduces the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics can be
consumed as analytics built into the business processes supported by SAP S/4HANA. It further supports
the SAP BusinessObjects BI suite. SAP BusinessObjects BI is a suite of front-end applications that allow

SAP SE Presence in Embedded Analytics Software
SAP is among the global leaders in cloud and analytics. With huge investments in these areas, SAP has a
strong position in the analytics market. The company has grown strategically by expanding its business in
six major sectors – analytics, applications, cloud, mobile, database, and technology. In the embedded
analytics market, the company has driven its growth by adopting organic strategies such as new product
launches and product developments. In April 2016, SAP launched a new service package for SAP S/4
HANA to provide fast and effective support for implementing the product. Moreover, in October 2015, the
company launched SAP Cloud for Analytics. This solution is built on the SAP HANA cloud platform and is a
high performance, real-time solution embedded with existing SAP solutions. In 2016, SAP invested a
significant share of 13.8% of its revenue in R&D activities. The company has also adopted several
inorganic growth strategies. It collaborated with Zoomdata, a visual analytics platform provider, in May
2017, to integrate Zoomdata’s solution and extensive big data connectivity with the SAP Analytics portfolio
across a broad set of big data technologies.
