Company Overview
Microsoft's PathGuide is a offers low-cost, plug-and-play indoor navigation services. It helps users to easily locate their destinations by following the traces created by a “leader,” or a user who has been to the location before. PathGuide uploads all the traces to the cloud, which the users can view from a web browser and shar with others using a unique trace ID. It also allows businesses to post wayfinding instructions on their own websites, and meeting coordinators can attach a route to an email meeting request.

Path Guide does not require any additional hardware. In fact, it uses the phones’ preexisting hardware. It is a research-based app, which works on input provided by the user and records more information and interactive experiences.
