Fujitsu’s IoT iMotion Edgeware platform provides a link between automated identification technology and enterprise applications. This platform allows organizations to build an independent hardware platform with multiple connected IoT devices that can integrate with rich data from corporate systems. With IoT and big data contributing significantly to the global economy, the company has made significant investments in the iMotion capability. Fujitsu’s key growth strategy is focused on providing integrated solutions instead of providing individual enterprise solutions. The company introduced a new digital services business for providing integration of technologies, and planning, developing, and manufacturing functions for IoT, AI, and cloud-related technologies. Further, to diversify its business portfolio, Fujitsu has undertaken various acquisitions to increase its product and market outreach. In May 2014, Fujitsu acquired GlobeRanger and expanded its product portfolio by introducing the IoT Edgeware Platform. In June 2017, Fujitsu collaborated with VMware, Inc., a prominent provider of cloud computing and IoT platform virtualization software and services.
