In June 2017, SAP SE collaborated with GE Digital to enhance its IoT expertise and technologies. Further, the company enabled its capabilities to develop cloud-to-cloud interoperability. This development helped the company to enhance connectivity of IoT devices. In June 2016, SAP acquired Fedem Technology to strengthen its cloud-based solutions, which help in monitoring physical installations in real time. This acquisition is expected to help SAP clients to more efficiently acquire customers and retain them effectively. As part of its organic strategy, the company has upgraded the family of SAP Cloud Platform Big Data Services.
