In February 2014, Pica8 launched white box switches, completely decoupling the SDN software from the hardware, optimizing these switches for data centers, and providing support for OpenFlow and Linux operating systems. Pica8 provides its services to major data centers in China and research institutes in North America. Following the partnership strategy, Pica8 formed a partnership with Cloudistics Inc., Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Kontron AG in Dec 2016, July 2016, and Oct 2015, respectively. These partnerships have been promising in terms of reaching out to maximum customers with its product offerings. Pica8 entered into a partnership with Edge Core Networks, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Penguin Computing in order to integrate products to cater to the SDN and NFV market.
